Flags & Banners

Sewn and decorated flags, banners and drapery for display and ceremony.

Sewn flags and banners are a sewing job before they are a decoration job — hems, headers, grommets and reinforcement decide whether a piece survives a season outdoors or a decade in a lobby. We build them and decorate them in the same shop.

What it is

  • Custom flags, banners, pennants and drapery, cut and sewn to size.
  • Decoration by embroidery or appliqué rather than print, for depth and longevity.
  • Finished with hems, pole sleeves, headers, grommets or ties as the installation requires.
  • Indoor ceremonial pieces and outdoor display pieces are built differently.

What we do differently

  • Built for where it hangs

Outdoor pieces need different fabric, hemming and reinforcement from a lobby banner. Tell us the installation and we will build to it.

  • Stitched, not printed

Appliqué and embroidery hold colour and depth in a way a printed banner does not, which matters on ceremonial pieces that stay in service for years.

  • A long-running speciality

Horse stall drapery has been a steady line here for years — the same construction discipline covers most hanging display work.

Typical applications

  • Organisation and ceremonial flags
  • Fire and police department colours
  • Horse stall drapery and barn banners
  • Trade show and product display pieces
  • School, club and church banners
  • Retail and hospitality interior drapery

Materials and substrates

  • Nylon and polyester flag fabrics
  • Duck, canvas and heavyweight cotton
  • Satin and drapery fabrics for indoor pieces
  • Twill appliqué for large lettering and emblems

  • Give finished dimensions and the hanging method: pole sleeve, grommets, ties or header.
  • Say whether the piece lives indoors or outdoors — it changes fabric and construction.
  • Large lettering is usually appliquéd rather than embroidered; it hangs better and costs less.

The artwork guide covers stitch counts, placements, backings and what does not translate to thread.

Questions we get

Can you match an existing flag we already own?
Send it to us. Matching an in-service piece is far more reliable from the original than from a photograph.
Do you handle double-sided flags?
Yes — construction varies with size and installation, so it is quoted per piece.

Next step

Tell us about the job.

Call the shop and ask for whoever handles contract work, or send the details through and we will come back with a number.
