Custom Patches
Embroidered patches with a finished border — sew-on, iron-on or hook-and-loop.
A patch decouples the decoration from the garment. Produce the emblem once, then apply it to jackets, bags or vests as they come — or hand it to a member to apply themselves. Public safety, military, clubs and uniform programmes all run on patches for exactly that reason.

What it is
- An embroidered emblem on a backing fabric, cut and finished with a merrowed or satin-stitched border.
- Available with a sew-on edge, a heat-seal backing, or hook-and-loop for tactical and uniform use.
- Any outline shape: circles, shields, rockers, bars, custom die shapes.
- Full-coverage embroidery or partial, depending on how much of the twill ground you want visible.
What we do differently
Borders that survive service
A merrowed edge on a duty garment sees a great deal of abrasion. Border finish is chosen for how the patch will actually be worn, not just for how it photographs.
Repeatable across reorders
Your patch is stored under a design number with its size, border and backing recorded, so next year’s run matches this year’s.

Patches can ship loose or come to us already applied to your garments as part of a contract run.

Artwork we can work from
AI, EPS, PDF, SVG — or 300 dpi raster at final patch size
- State the finished patch size across its widest point. Small text on a small patch is the single most common problem.
- Lettering below roughly a quarter inch cap height will not resolve in thread. See the artwork guide for the limits.
- Say which backing and border you need, or describe how the patch gets worn and we will recommend.

Questions we get
- What is a merrowed border?
- An overlock stitch wrapped around the cut edge of the patch. It gives the raised, rope-like rim you see on most shoulder emblems and it is the most durable finish for a patch that will be worn hard.
- Can a patch be both iron-on and sewn?
- Yes, and for anything worn in service we recommend both — heat-seal to position it, stitching to keep it there.
